The famed British comedy troupe Monty Python starred in a total of five movies throughout their tenure, ranging from timeless classics to underappreciated gems. They made narrative films and sketch compilations; movies shot on location and concert films recorded live; some movies had lighthearted humor, some with shockingly twisted humor, and others with a mixture of both. When bringing their particular brand of surreal humor to the big screen, the troupe tackled bigger subjects like the Arthurian legend, the origins of Christianity, and the meaning of life.
