After Thomas Gibson was fired from the show, Paget Brewster stepped in to become the BAU’s new leader. Considering her history with the team, it was a rather smooth transition. Unfortunately, the case about Gold Star and Elias Voit’s continued threat in Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 are proving to be more challenging than initially perceived. Aside from leading the team, Prentiss has also been dealing with the guilt of Deputy Director Bailey’s death, not to mention the return of Brian Garrity.
