Zoe Saldana’s Neytiri was one of the strongest characters in 2009’s original Avatar, both literally and figuratively. As one of the first Na’vi to accept Jake Sully, Neytiri came across as simultaneously flirtatious and standoffish. She was a ferocious warrior, but her more tender moments proved that she was also a caring heroine. Viewers missed these traits for much of 202s’s Avatar sequel.
