The Road House remake gives viewersa solid reason to revisit the original 1989 film and, at the same time, also reminds one to rewatch a 23-year-old Patrick Swayze and Jake Gyllenhaal film. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, the Road House remake garnered negative attention initially because of its release controversy and Doug Liman's reluctance to agree with Amazon MGM's decision to release it directly on streaming. However, despite all the initial backlash, the Road House remake is performing incredibly well on streaming, raking in some big numbers.
