Naruto’s Live-Action Movie Can Bring Back The 20-Year-Old Mistake That Defined The Anime

The English dub of the Naruto anime made an iconic translation mistake that the upcoming live-action movie should continue. Originally created in Japanese, the US version of the anime had the tough job of finding English equivalencies to different phrases that both made sense and fit with the animated mouth movements. This led to a repeated line throughout Naruto that audiences either love or hate—no in between. Now, as the series is being remade into a Lionsgate movie, Naruto's iconic catchphrase can also be adapted.
