The Walt Disney Company has greenlit Frozen 3, which should not come as a shock to most, and although not much is known about its plot, one of Anna's storylines will likely draw inspiration from Frozen 2's ending. The first sequel in the popular franchise premiered in 2019 and impressively performed better than the first film — it grossed $1.453 billion at the worldwide box office, while the 2013 movie made $1.280 billion. Based on these figures and Disney's recent downward trend of box office hits, audiences should expect to see many more Frozen films in the future.
