Cancelled Max Show Fans Utilize Netflix Billboard Trend, Creator Responds to Campaign Efforts

The canceled Max comedy Our Flag Means Death gets a Times Square billboard as fans mobilize to save the show. Debuting in March 2022 from creator David Jenkins, Our Flag Means Death is set in the early 18th century. The story focuses on the Golden Age of Piracy. In particular, it examines Stede (Rhys Darby) and his crew as they try to make a name for themselves as pirates, and then cross paths with Taika Waititi's infamous Blackbeard. After debuting its second season late last year, Max announced that Our Flag Means Death would not be back for season 3.
