Star Wars has built out an impressive galaxy of stories across film and television, but the focus has been on the Star Wars saga until now with The Acolyte. The new series will set itself apart from other Star Wars projects. It begins with the era in which it is set, the end of The High Republic. Introduced in books and comics, The High Republic was a time of prosperity for the galaxy, with the Jedi acting as the peacekeepers they have always been described as. However, near the end, when The Acolyte is set, a darkness is beginning to take root.
