Why Fringe Completely Dropped A Major Romance After Season 2

The season 2 premiere of Fringe was full of surprises, but none so bold as the kiss between Phillip Broyles (played by Lance Reddick) and Nina Sharp (played by Blair Brown), although the steamy moment ended up being the first and last for the couple for good reason. Fringe is a sci-fi drama about a government division that examines unusual crimes and occurrences. The show began in 2008 and ran for five seasons helmed by J.J. Abrams and starring Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, and John Noble.
