The highly anticipated prequel to the A Quiet Place series, A Quiet Place: Day One, has begun filming. John Krasinski, who directed the first two movies and is producing Day One, shared a photo from the set alongside director Michael Sarnoski (Pig) and star Lupita Nyong’o.
“So honored to be there day one of A Quiet Place: Day One with the maestro Michael Sarnoski and legendary Lupita Nyong’o,” Krasinski said. “Cannot wait to see what magic they conjure in this one!” It looks like Krasinski tagged the wrong Sarnoski in the Instagram post, however.
Based on the image printed on the clapper, it looks like Day One will take place, at least partially, in New York City. Given its title, Day One, the movie will probably dig into what happened the day the killer aliens came to Earth.
