Despite my love for the dysfunctional Mikaelson family, some of The Originals villains and antagonists had such solid logic and backstories that I found myself secretly rooting for them to win. Like my fans of The Vampire Diaries, I transitioned over the watching The Originals after the backdoor pilot in season 4 of the predecessor. Since then, Ive watched The Originals more times than I can count. One of the things that makes the show so interesting is the fact that the story centers on the villains of the Vampire Diaries Universe, who are given backstories, personalities, and nuances.
