6 Reasons A Stargate Reboot Needs To Happen

Although the Stargate franchise has extended far beyond its original 1994 film, with three major television series and countless other properties, the story could still make for a fantastic reboot for today's audience. The original Stargate film featured James Spader and Kurt Russell, a scientist and a military colonel, who discovers the first Stargate, or wormhole, on Earth and find an evil civilization on the other side. From there, Stargate became a science fiction adventure franchise following different groups of space explorers using Stargates, to travel around the universe and find allies and resources to defend Earth.
