Scream 6 continues the stories of Scream’s new Final Girls Sam (Melissa Barrera) and Tara (Jenna Ortega), and even though they are living their own nightmare, Scream 6 has a couple of parallels with Scream 2. The horror genre has been seizing the reboots and “requels” trend in recent years, and one franchise that continues to ride this wave is Scream, which was brought back to life in 2022 with a fifth movie simply titled Scream. This new entry introduced a new generation of survivors, who were guided through their first experience against Ghostface by legacy characters Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), and Dewey Riley (David Arquette).
