Although sequels to popular movies are not always looked at favorably, Frozen 3 may actually be a great idea for the Frozen franchise and Disney's future as a whole. Both previous Frozen films proved to be a success both commercially and critically. For example, the first Frozen film earned Disney two awards at the 86th Academy Awards. Similarly, Frozen 2 proved to be a success, six years after the original came out, as it got $1.45 billion dollars at the box office. It seems safe to assume, therefore, that a third installment of such a beloved series could only do just as well as Frozen and Frozen 2.
