In 2017’s 47 Meters Down, sisters Lisa (Mandy Moore) and Kate (Claire Holt) struggle to maintain their sanity after being trapped underwater in a diving cage among sharks. 47 Meters Down: Uncaged tells an entirely new story as its characters explore an underwater city and are once again attacked by bloodthirsty sharks. Though the shark attack genre is hardly new, the 47 Meters Down franchise has brought it into the 21st century.
