Horror movies fared decently well in 2024. Six horror films released last year made over $50 million at the domestic box office, which is an impressive feat within the genre. Currently, the horror movie to watch is Nosferatu, the Robert Eggers-directed remake that was released on Christmas Day. At the time of writing, Nosferatu has made over $56 million at the worldwide box office, with more international rollout still to come. It has already beaten out The Witch in box office sales, and will likely beat The Northman to become Eggers’ highest-grossing movie.
