Though the journey has been challenging, 1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has found inner peace as she continues to pursue her weight loss goals. The unscripted series centers around the lives of 37-year-old Tammy and her 36-year-old sister, Amy Slaton. The show gets its title from the fact that, when the show premiered in 2020, Tammy and Amy weighed a combined 1,000 pounds. While Amy weighed over 400 pounds, Tammy weighed over 600 pounds and would go on to weigh 720 pounds at her heaviest. On top of her food addiction, Tammy also struggled with drugs and alcohol.
