The sci-fi drama stars Brad Pitt as an astronaut who is recruited to contact his father, a rogue commander searching for signs of intelligent extraterrestrial life while orbiting Neptune. It received mixed reviews when it was released, and its $135.4 million box office take constituted a disappointment, given its budget and marketing costs.
