As impressive as the Stargate shows are, they left many questions unanswered and many mysteries unexplained. The sci-fi franchise started with the eponymous 1994 movie that became a huge hit; however, it has expanded to include one film, three TV shows, one web series, one animated show, and two direct-to-video films. Stargate is considered one of the best sci-fi franchises of all time. All 8 Stargate movies and shows are impressive and deserving of recognition, even Stargate: Universe, which was canceled after just two seasons.
