Plenty of TV shows had a hiatus between seasons, but some were more frustrating than others. Many of the best TV shows of all time took a break between installments, whether that was just for a few weeks or even years. TV show hiatuses have happened for a range of different reasons. The various writers’ strikes over the last couple of decades typically interrupted filming, for example. However, some hiatuses also occurred because of shooting conflicts with actors or because the story wasn’t ready yet.
