For the most part, the Austin Powers movies are shagadelic, baby, but there are a few things that stand out when rewatching them today. Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery was a culture-clash comedy about a cryogenically frozen ‘60s secret agent being thawed out in the ‘90s and having to adapt to modern society as he tracks down his arch nemesis, Dr. Evil. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me sent Austin back to the ‘60s in a time machine and Austin Powers in Goldmember teamed him up with his dad, played hilariously by Michael Caine, and revealed a surprising personal connection to Dr. Evil.
