One of the films in DC Universe's upcoming pipeline features the leafy hero Swamp Thing and it's important that the project finds the right actor for the role. Though the movie has gotten a confirmed writer and director in James Mangold, which actor will portray the leafy green giant is still a mystery. Protector of the Green and defender of the environment and humanity alike, the horror-based character has yet to hit mainstream success. While Swamp Thing has been the star of a couple of direct-to-video films in the 80s, as well as the short-lived 2019 Swamp Thing TV series, general audiences won't be the most familiar with the character, leaving a big-name casting likely to do the heavy lifting.
