1 Spider-Verse 3 Tease Sets Up The Spider-Man Spin-Off Sony Failed To Make

Sony may be setting up a previously failed storyline by teasing one major villain group from Marvel Comics in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The sequel to 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse reintroduced Miles Morales over a year after he first became Spider-Man. Thrust on another adventure with Gwen Stacy and Peter B. Parker, Miles came face-to-face with Miguel O'Hara, a.k.a. Spider-Man 2099, and the Spider Society, a group of interdimensional Spider-People tasked with protecting the multiverse. While Spider-Man 2099 views Miles as the problem with the multiverse, Sony may be teasing a much greater threat for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
