Season 5 premiered with John Dutton (Kevin Costner) being sworn in as governor of Montana — and of course, there’s drama involved. The mid-season finale ended with Dutton potentially being impeached, thanks in part to his own son, Jamie, played by Wes Bentley. Costner announced his departure from the series over the summer but remains listed in Sunday’s episode titled “Desire Is All You Need,” per IMDB. He’s also featured in the trailer though its unclear what will happen to his character going forward.
