After the outstanding success of Dune: Part Two, waiting for Dune: Part Three was bad enough, but recent comments by Dune director Denis Villeneuve just made the wait way worse. At the start of 2023, Dune: Part Two premiered and quickly earned incredible reviews from critics and audiences alike. While the first movie certainly did well, Dune: Part Two blew its predecessor out of the water. On a budget of $190 million, the Dune sequel earned over $700 million at the box office. The greatness of Dune: Part Two only made audiences want Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Three even more.
