While there is plenty of excitement around the return of Netflix's Arcane, the show's release plan doesn't bode well for the future of the series. Arcane proved to be a huge hit when it debuted on Netflix back in 2021. Based on the video game, League of Legends, Arcane managed to attract the interest of gamers alongside a mainstream audience. While it helps to know some of the game's lore, the show does a great job of crafting a brilliant story that works independently. Arcane season 1's ending left things on a cliffhanger, which made a follow-up season inevitable, yet its future looks concerning despite its success.
