Malignant 2 news has been increasing ever since director James Wan said there is a bigger world to explore in that horror universe. Wan, who created successful franchises in the past with Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring, knows a lot about what makes a horror franchise tick. In Malignant, though, it seemed that the story was a one-and-done, especially with the themes and motifs that played into the terrors. Released in 2021, Malignant told the story of a woman named Madison (Annabelle Wallis) who's visions of people being murdered turned about to be prophetic — and she herself may be the cause.
