Civilization 7 made a big shift with its change in how players go through the life of a civilization. The Exploration Age takes the player from localized power struggles to a global stage of competition and cooperation. You will need to go across the large oceans, discover new continents, and meet previously unknown civilizations. Diplomacy takes on new complexities as empires vie for control of lucrative trade routes and newly discovered resources. It feels like the game gets so much bigger, a lot like in previous games, but adjusted slightly.
