Billboard Women in Music arrives in Europe for the first time with an edition that celebrates the talent of Italian artists. Billboard Italia Women in Music will be held on Sept. 16 at Milan’s Teatro Manzoni, one of the most prestigious theaters in the city.

Both the date and the venue are meant to highlight the bridge between music and fashion, as the event will take place right before the start of Milan Fashion Week (Sept. 17-23) and right next to the glamorous fashion district of Via Montenapoleone and its surroundings.

Since its first edition in 2007, Billboard Women in Music has honored world-famous artists such as Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and many other great international music stars. The first edition of Billboard Italia Women in Music will be a unique opportunity to celebrate the Italian protagonists, from chart-topping artists to the professionals of the music industry who work behind the scenes.

Among the awards of Billboard Italia Women in Music are: Woman of the Year, for the artist who stood out the most during the year; Performer of the Year, for the artist with the most memorable live performances; Breakthrough, for the revelation artist of the year; Icon, which celebrates the career of the artist who made entire generations dream with her music and style; A&R of the Year, awarded to the person who discovered the best new talent; Manager of the Year, for the person who’s responsible for all the fundamental decisions of an artist’s career; and Style, awarding the creative figure who has developed image projects that have left their mark.

Is there a Milanese landmark more iconic than the Duomo cathedral? Could there be something more exclusive than meeting people, enjoying a cocktail and dancing to music on a rooftop right next to it? Billboard Italia Women in Music makes it possible thanks to its partner Rinascente, Italy’s top luxury store, hosting an aftershow that can’t be missed, filled with special performances and DJ sets to continue the spirit of the event in a more relaxed, informal way.

Among the other official partners of Billboard Italia Women in Music is Rabanne, with its new women’s fragrance arriving in September. Radio 105 is the official radio station. Billboard Italia Women in Music is supported by the Italian collecting society SIAE.
