Gru’s diminutive yellow accomplices have probably been the biggest legacy of the Minions and Despicable Me saga, but just who voices the Minions isn’t exactly clear. Unlike many other famous animated characters, Minions lack a distinctive vocal inflection, instead communicating in a series of nonsensical jabbering squeaks. As a result, it wouldn’t necessarily make sense for an A-List performer to lend their considerable not to mention expensive talents to the role.
