The overlooked 2019 war action movie Triple Frontier had a star-studded cast that deserves more recognition. Directed by J.C. Chandor, whose other works include A Most Violent Year (2017), All Is Lost (2013), and Margin Call (2011), Triple Frontier is surprisingly just the fourth feature film directed by Chandor, who was nominated for a Best Original Screenplay Oscar for Margin Call. Triple Frontier is based on a screenplay by Chandor and Mark Boal, the Academy Award-winning screenwriter and producer of Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty. Triple Frontier is available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
