Audio-Technica’s Portable Turntable Is Best for Dorm Rooms & Small Apartments: Here’s Where to Get One Online

Although vinyl offers listeners warmer and fuller audio, record players are sometimes big, bulky and take up a lot of space — they’re essentially a piece of furniture for just playing music. However, Audio-Technica has a turntable that’s lightweight, compact and ideal for small apartments and dorm rooms.

Priced at $200 at Urban Outfitters, the Audio-Technica Sound Burger Turntable is a portable record player that has a modern design with a stable build and steady rotation thanks to its premium materials, including plastic and die-cast aluminum alloy. It’s even Bluetooth-enabled so you can connect the turntable to a pair of wireless speakers.

The Audio-Technica Sound Burger Turntable — which weighs less than two pounds — plays 33-1/3 and 45 RPM (revolutions per minute) vinyl records, and is also battery-powered with up to 12 hours of battery life per charge via USB-C. That’s more than enough time to listen to music at a picnic or party.

The Audio-Technica Sound Burger Turntable retails for $200 at Urban Outfitters and $199 at Amazon. It comes in two colors: black and yellow. Check out other premium turntables from Audio-Technica here.
